Niagara Falls

One of our favorite stops along our Great American Waterways cruise is the Niagara Falls Tour in Buffalo, New York. As a “bucket list” item of many Americans, visiting the spectacular, sprawling scenery of Niagara Falls, almost always exceeds prior expectations. We know you will be amazed at the beauty right before your very eyes.

Our excursion to Niagara Falls visits the Whirlpool overlook, where the falls were located over 6,000 years ago! The falls, created as a result of melting glaciers and actually kept frozen until the 1800’s, is now a spot where nearly 600,000 gallons of water travel down the waterfalls every second! When at the falls, we also visit the amazing gorge named the Spanish Aerocar, and the only whirlpool in America that changes direction twice a day! In addition to these unforgettable attractions, our excursion takes passengers to the Table Rock area where the most adventurous men and women to visit the area have actually taken the plunge over the falls.

Believe it or not, the adventure doesn’t stop there. Prepare yourselves to board the infamous Maid of the Mist, a vessel that has taken passengers into the falls on seven boats under the same name since 1846! This storied ship, now the Maid of the Mist VII, has carried many passengers over the years, including diplomats such as President Jimmy Carter, Princess Diana, Prince William and Prince Harry! In addition to world leaders, celebrities also make time to visit the iconic Niagara Falls, such as Marilyn Monroe, Robert Redford, Brad Pitt and many more! The Niagara Falls have even been featured on the American television sitcom, The Office, as two characters are married at the legendary waterfalls. Make sure to keep your eye out for a celebrity on board, you never know who could be under those blue ponchos!

When visiting Niagara Falls, the day is bound to be a spectacular adventure with many surprises in store. But, a few things we know for certain are these: you will get wet, you will snap a few photos, and you’ll check this unforgettable journey off your bucket list of adventures.
